Editorial Policy

This policy explains how content on SoccerTips.ai is produced, what rules it follows, and what happens when something goes wrong. It applies to every page on the site.

How predictions are produced

Predictions are generated by a statistical model, documented on the method page, from team ratings, scoring rates and market data. Selections are published when the model's probability for an outcome clears a fixed threshold. No human overrides the model's picks, no prediction is influenced by commercial relationships, and no selection is added or removed to flatter the record.

Predictions are never edited after kickoff

Every published prediction is written to an append-only archive at kickoff, together with the odds available at publication. After that moment it cannot be changed, by us or anyone else, and the archive's integrity is verified continuously. The results pages are generated from this archive alone.

How results are settled

Settlement runs automatically against official results. Selections settle as won, lost or void; postponed, abandoned and awarded matches void every affected pick, and profit and loss is always calculated against the odds captured at publication, not prices found afterwards. Where a result lacks the data a market needs to settle, the pick is recorded as unsettleable and shown as such rather than silently dropped.

Editorial content

All editorial content, guides, glossary entries and analysis, is written by David Shaw and carries a last-reviewed date. The learn section accepts no external contributions of any kind. UK English throughout, and no content on this site will ever describe a bet as safe, certain or without risk, because no bet is.

Sponsored content

Sponsored posts appear only in the insights section, never in the learn section, and always carry a visible disclosure at the top with paid links marked as sponsored. Sponsorship buys a clearly labelled placement; it does not buy our voice, our predictions or an unlabelled recommendation.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, factual errors, settlement mistakes, broken data, we fix the page and, where the error was material, note the correction on it. The prediction archive is the one thing that is never revised, because its value is that it cannot be. Errors can be reported through the contact page and are reviewed promptly.
