Over 1.5 Goals Meaning
Over 1.5 goals means betting on the match to produce two goals or more in total, both teams combined. Any 1-1, 2-0 or higher-scoring result wins; only 0-0, 1-0 and 0-1 beat the bet.
How it settles
Goals in normal time plus stoppage count; extra time does not. Who scores is irrelevant, and the half goal makes a push impossible — the total is either two-plus or it is not. Nothing in football betting settles more simply, which is part of why this line anchors so many accumulators.

The bookmaker offers 1.30, implying 76.9 — a nine-point edge, unusually generous for this market. £10 returns £13 when the match finishes 2-1. The losing case is instructive too: a 1-0 grind loses the bet with the "right" kind of match one goal short, and at these odds a single miss erases four wins' profit.
Where the line earns its keep
Singles at 1.20 are rarely the point. The market's real role is accumulator raw material: legs around 1.30 survive roughly three times in four each, so a five-leg slip built from them lands often enough to be repeatable while paying near 3.7 combined — the structure behind our acca generator's default. Avoid the line in matches between cautious, low-scoring sides whatever the price, and remember the model publishes an over 1.5 selection only when its number clears the site's highest threshold, precisely because short prices punish carelessness hardest.
